Other railway stations that are within easy walking distance of the Rose Garden include Nebozizek and Újezd. Tram stops that are within walking distance include Újezd and Hellichova.

This garden has a convenient location near the Petřín Hill Funicular and the Mirror Maze, which provides excitement for all ages. As many as 12,000 roses can be in bloom during the summer. There are also water plants and fruit trees that add even more colour and personality to the garden area.
Fortifications and the Petřín Lookout Tower are some of the structures that bring attention to this garden. Statues arranged in an embrace, called The Kiss, were designed by Josef Mařatka. The pond features sculptures of Rusalka and a water goblin, both created by Vilém Amort.
This collection of statues stands at the top of the funicular route, where visitors can see commemorative locations like The Hunger Wall, the M.R. Štefánik memorial with a commemorative tree and sundial, and the M.R. Štefánik Observatory. All of these attractions add to the natural beauty of the gardens in the area.
History of the Rose Garden on Petřín hill
The Rose Garden was originally planted between 1932 and 1934. Nearby garden areas with perennials, fruit trees, and water plants primarily date back to between 1935 and 1937.
This rosarium’s location is at the site of Baroque fortifications constructed between the 17th and 18th centuries. The Hunger Wall that stands on this hill goes as far back as 1360 to 1362. Petřín Hill’s Observation Tower that overlooks the Rose Garden dates back to 1891, along with the Mirror Maze. Both of these popular attractions associated with the garden were constructed in honour of the Jubilee Exhibition.
