 The Four Seasons Hotel Prague

 The Four Seasons Hotel, Prague
 The Four Seasons Hotel, Prague

The Four Seasons in Prague is one of the city’s plushest and best-located hotels, with a mix of styles from different eras that give the interior and rooms plenty of character. The decor and furnishings are a mix of classic and contemporary, the service is impeccable, and there is a swish spa and relaxation pool. From one side of the hotel, you can see the Vltava, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle, and from the other, you can see the Old Town Square and Jewish Quarter. The Rudolfinum, home of the Czech Philharmonic, is 100 meters away, and Wenceslas Square and Mala Strana are within a 10-minute walk.

The classic Four Seasons vibe – timeless and upscale with rich woods, marble floors, and a particularly vast and ornate lobby – is still present. Still, it’s been complemented by lovely flourishes like decorative cornices, trompe l’oeil, and crafted stucco. Likewise, the EDG studio’s restaurant and bar design are much hipper. Its creamy-hued interior is dotted with colorful artworks and hanging designer lights. Staff is as exemplary as you’d expect from such a reputable brand, emphasizing detail: their services include 24-hour laundry, dry-cleaning, in-room dining, twice-daily housekeeping, and valet parking. In addition, the lobby has an ATM and a gift shop, and the fifth-floor terrace is used for dining and occasional classical concerts.

They have a chic AVA spa: vitality pool, spa baths, separate steam, and sauna rooms. On the basement level, there is also a very good fitness studio.

Fusion Hotel

Fusion Hotel, Prague

Another guest-friendly hotel that made our list is the Fusion hotel. This hip and multi-faceted hotel complex – part of the Leonardo Hotels portfolio – nearer to Wenceslas Square offers a range of individually decorated rooms, a revolving bar, eateries, and a playroom with an in-built Skype booth. A public transportation hub is also only a two-minute walk away.

There’s no need to go out as they have everything available. There’s a dedicated playroom with a “Skype booth” for calls home, board games and an Xbox console, a streetwear store, vending machines in place of mini-bars, wooden lockers for storage, and several places to eat and drink.

There are many rooms, ranging from singles and themed doubles (Vintage, Love, Rock) to dorms and apartments; one room has a massive bed that can sleep up to six people. All have darkened corridors, modern artworks, minimal furnishings, and private bathrooms with rain showers. Note that they can vary greatly in terms of size and layout. The Vintage room, for example, is much larger than the other themed rooms — so check days ahead if you want to reserve extra space for no extra charge. A 360 lounge bar, a permanent breakfast, and a lounge area are available.
